Qita3 ("قطع") is an online marketplace operated by Qita for digital commerce — W.L.L, Commercial Registration No. 241061, in the State of Qatar. Listings and content are posted by independent sellers and service providers, and we take reports of infringement seriously. This policy explains who may report content they believe infringes intellectual property rights or is otherwise unlawful, what a complaint must include, and what we do when we receive one. It is written to align with the intellectual property laws of the State of Qatar — including Law No. (7) of 2002 on the Protection of Copyright and Neighbouring Rights and Law No. (9) of 2002 on Trademarks and Related Matters — and with the e-commerce expectations of Qatar's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
A complaint may be submitted by the owner of the intellectual property right concerned, or by someone authorized to act on the owner's behalf — such as an exclusive licensee, a legal representative, or an appointed agent. Any user may also flag content they believe is counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise unlawful; we review those reports too, though we may ask the rights holder to confirm a claim that depends on rights only they can prove.
So that we can act on a complaint, it must include: (a) identification of the protected work, trademark, or other right claimed to be infringed, with evidence of ownership or authority to act (such as a registration certificate or licence); (b) the exact URL(s) of the listing(s) or content on the Platform you are reporting; (c) your contact details — name or entity, email address, and phone number; and (d) a good-faith statement that the reported use is not authorized by the rights holder and that the information in the complaint is accurate. Complaints missing any of these may be delayed while we ask you to complete them.
We acknowledge complaints on receipt and review them against the listing or content reported. We may ask the seller or provider concerned for a response, and we may ask you for clarification. Where a complaint is substantiated, we remove the listing or content, or disable access to it, within 7 business days of receiving a complete complaint — sooner where the infringement is clear. We will tell you the outcome of your complaint, and we keep a record of complaints and the action taken.
Sellers and providers are responsible for holding the rights to everything they list; counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented items are prohibited under our Terms of Service. Where a complaint is substantiated we may, depending on severity, warn the account, remove the listing, suspend the account, or terminate it. Accounts that repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights will be terminated. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with the competent authorities in the State of Qatar.
Submitting a false or bad-faith complaint can expose the person submitting it to legal liability under the laws of the State of Qatar, and can harm a legitimate seller. We may decline to act on complaints that are abusive, plainly unfounded, or submitted to suppress lawful competition, and we may restrict submitters who repeatedly misuse this process.
Send complaints to support@qita3.qa with the subject line "IP Complaint", including everything listed in section 3.
